I cannot thank Mr Stuart Robertson enough for giving me back my confidence through his highly skilled work as a surgeon and his compassionate and caring nature. I initially went to Mr Robertson back in November 2020 as I discovered a hard lump on my right breast. It did unfortunately turn out to be breast cancer however from the first meeting with Mr Robertson I had confidence and reassurance as he said to me ‘whatever it is I am going to sort it for you’. From then on that is exactly what Mr Robertson did. After explaining my options and risks associated with each one, I chose to have the Therapeutic Mammoplasty procedure, which involved removal of the tumour and reshape of the breast by removing tissue and skin. The result was successful with the tumour and a good margin removed, and the reshape Mr Robertson did was excellent. His skill was clearly evident, not only did he reshape the breast for it to still resemble a breast he also filled in the hole where the tumour was removed with some of my removed skin tissue. I was very happy that the tumour had been removed and how the new breast looked given everything I had gone through. Mr Robertson is a highly skilled surgeon, and he explains things very well, clearly and with compassion and care to his patients which is why he is highly recommended. I now had a further decision to make if I wanted to have my left breast reshaped and undergo a Contralateral Symmetrising breast reduction. Mr Robertson talked through with me the procedure and recovery times and the benefits I would have. As I now had one large breast and a smaller breast, I had found myself not wearing tops I would have normally chosen due to the difference that could be seen and I found myself almost trying to hide the larger breast when in public my hunching over when I walked. I decided to undergo further surgery with Mr Robertson earlier this year and I have to say it was the best decision I made. Immediately after surgery I could see the difference and more importantly the wave of confidence I suddenly had back. I am now 8 weeks since surgery and the healing, scars swelling are all going very well. Due to Mr Robertson highly skilled surgical skills, his care and compassion he has given me my confidence back and now I can walk in public head held high and shoulders back! It is never easy going through a serious illness, however having the best medical team and surgeon is important and that is why I would highly recommend Mr Robertson for your care.

Having received a positive BRCA 2 diagnosis I met with Stuart Robertson to discuss my options, from that first meeting he filled me with confidence, he explained everything in such detail including the possibility of reducing my risk down to 5% with surgery. I was sent away to consider my options and to research the respected websites that he gave me returning 4 weeks later with a list of questions, each one answered fully and honestly. We met again some 8 weeks later and feeling fully informed and with his support I decided to have a double mastectomy with nipple sacrifice and smooth implant reconstruction. My operation was performed by this wonderful, caring and conscientious surgeon 12 days ago and I am feeling great and I am so very pleased with the outcome of the surgery. He visited me in hospital a few hours after my operation and again the following morning, I have seen him twice in clinic and have another appointment with him in two days time. I feel so well looked after. Mastectomy is a big decision and Stuart Robertson gave me the time to research and question my options, I never felt rushed into making a decision about the operation, the type of reconstruction or the type of implant. I am blessed to have him as my consultant and surgeon, his knowledge, surgical skills and wonderful kind, caring and patient demeanour have made this journey so much easier. Thank you Mr Robertson for making me still feel like me, I will be forever grateful to you.

Dr Robertson has been great from the start. Making my options clear to me following finding out I was BRAC2 positive with a 88% risk of breast cancer. I made the decision to have skin sparing bilateral mastectomy with immediate reconstruction and I couldn’t be happier with the care and results.

Dr Robertson was very professional during consultations and is clearly very knowledgeable. He made me feel comfortable when I felt my most vulnerable and listened to what I said / any concerns I had. He is clearly passionate about the work he does and that is shown in the finished product, I have nothing negative to add about the care I received. I would recommend him and want to thank him for the level of service received before, during and after. Thank you

I was diagnosed with breast cancer in my left breast in May 2021. Mr Robertson gave me the diagnosis in a really caring and sensitive manner. He reassured me that we could beat this and explained to me how the process would be and what challenges I’d face and to remain positive. In December Mr Robertson performed the surgery to remove any remaining tumour and lymph nodes and did a breast reconstruction. He did an amazing job and I’m really grateful for all he has done for me since day one. He was probably more excited and overwhelmed to give me the great news on me being clear of cancer the other week. I’d also like to say that since my diagnosis, All the staff at the NHS have been extremely amazing and caring and supportive. I owe my life to these hard working individuals and we should always be grateful for this.
